Our involvement in each animals life does not end the moment an appointment with the veterinarian is over. Meet Our Vets

Dr. Juliana Wilcox

Dr. Juliana Wilcox has been with University Pet Hospital since mid 2013. She was born in Steven’s Point, Wisconsin and grew up on the East Coast. Dr. Wilcox moved to California and graduated on the Dean’s List as a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in English and Black Studies. She also attended the University of New Mexico to achieve a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree, she ventured to Colorado State University to gain her Masters in Business and become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Besides her DVM credential, Dr. Wilcox is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and in the process of obtaining her certification for Canine Rehabilitation. In addition to providing comprehensive pet care, Dr. Wilcox is a pain management specialist. This includes: acupuncture, physical medicine (rehabilitation), and traditional pharmacology.

In her spare time Dr. Wilcox is an avid yogi and enjoys horseback riding, scuba diving, and surfing. She has also recently rescued two cats, Capuchin and Houston, who have joined the household along with her mixed breed dog, Calliope.
